The Role

We are looking for a well-rounded Product Owner to join our growing team as we look to launch and build our new digital offering. This is an exciting opportunity to own a greenfield project for a market leader within the automotive space. As the third of many hires within the product team we are looking for someone who is versatile and has a can do attitude. Someone who is results oriented and can drive the end-to-end delivery of Motorpoint's new digital offering.

As Product Owner you will develop product projects, collaborate with the Product team, managing workloads, and take ownership and accountability of product life cycles. You’ll be joining a growing team working hand in hand with our Tech and digital marketing teams to align overall business strategy with online performance and customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage our full product life-cycle across both customer facing and back end projects from conception through to delivery and beyond.
  • Have an in-depth understanding of our onsite customer behaviour working closely with our digital marketing and analytics teams to improve performance and customer experience.
  • Have ownership of the digital product roadmap and backlog, and you will prioritise workloads and product releases.
  • Proactively collaborate with Creative and Tech Teams to conceptualise and develop new features that will deliver a high commercial impact.
  • Identify and improve existing features that have not achieved desired results.
  • Monitor product & feature performance, using analytics tools, onsite user feedback and core KPI analysis.
  • Ensure the customer experience is at the heart of every choice you make whilst maintaining the highest standards across all touch points
  • Work collaboratively with the Tech Lead and wider teams to ensure there is clear communication across functions to plan and release sprints.
  • Regularly coordinating and liaising with internal and external key stakeholders from development to delivery.
  • Take ownership of product design and builds ensuring an efficient yet economical approach is used.
  • Define user stories and acceptance criteria

Experience

  • Experience working in Digital eCommerce is essential
  • Comfortable working in multi-disciplinary, agile environments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to influence, prioritise and project manage
  • Experience using an analytical approach to solve problems
  • Ability to coordinate and liaise with various functions from concept through to delivery
  • Comfortable producing and articulating strategic proposals to internal and external stakeholders
  • Customer focused and commercially aware
  • Expert with web analytics
  • Capable of researching and analysing data using a variety of tools
  • Experience with A/B Testing or Multivariate Testing
  • Experience of User Centred Design processes
  • Experience developing wireframes and prototypes – able to communicate ideas to both development and design teams
