Title: Head of Supply Chain - E-Commerce

Location: Remote (UK based)

Salary: £65,000

The Role 

This is an exciting opportunity to help build and manage a unique global supply chain platform including sourcing, freight, fulfilment and delivery driven by client and in-house requirements. With ownership to procure, develop and implement supply chain projects from end to end, managing a team of subject matter experts.

You will be able to produce fully costed supply chain distribution networks and act as the conduit between client and third-party supplier, influencing clients to migrate from their existing operational infrastructure into eComplete’s to time and specification. You will be working with internal and external stakeholders to deploy and maintain a diverse range of projects across multiple territories and ecommerce categories.

You must possess an entrepreneurial spirt with a demonstrated track record in operational planning & execution plus the ability to negotiate influence and contract with suppliers and clients to deliver programmes of change. You will need a positive can-do attitude, plus the ability to work under pressure and on own initiative. If you have operational and strategic experience combined with being a department leader this would be a perfect role for you.

Responsibilities 

  • Develops and deploys supply chain strategy and executes tactical solutions for the business unit in conjunction with other teams and departments.
  • Inspire new and existing suppliers to deliver high standards of service ensure KPIs are met to time and specification.
  • Implement and manage best practice in the following areas: client and supplier communications, procurement of services, operational planning & management.
  • Develop customer relationships to ensure customer retention and loyalty
  • Conduct business reviews, internally and externally, on performance to ensure appropriate level of account and resource productivity
  • Lead by example to reinforce behaviours associated with our culture (Respect & Results, Continuous Improvement, Employee Engagement)
  • Provide leadership for the business unit in assessing potential, developing talent and succession planning

Skills

  • Strong operational and commercial acumen, 5 -10 years’ experience in ecommerce supply chain
  • Strong leadership skills to efficiently manage and motivate a virtual team to achieve a high level of performance to exceed targets.
  • Accountable and resilient.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver change programmes and determine what expertise and resources are required to resolve problems quickly and efficiently.
  • Ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels and contribute to identification and evaluation of potential solutions to the problems based on the facts, assessment of risk and awareness of desired business objectives.
  • Experience of line management responsibilities and department reporting.
  • Experience within Import/Export & ERP systems
  • Experience in data validation and synthesis (arriving at conclusions based on data) with high attention to detail.
