Title: UX Designer

Location: Our head office is based in Derby, but we support remote working

Salary: £32,000 to £40,000 dependent on experience

The Role

Responsibilities

  • Gather stakeholder requirements
  • Propose and sketch out a range of visual concepts for stakeholder review
  • Capture stakeholder feedback and centralise in order to allow easy sharing
  • Create user personas, user journeys and site maps
  • Translate concepts into wireframes, prototypes and user flows using Figma and/or Adobe product suite
  • Work on cross-platform applications to develop user experiences covering mobile phones, tablets and computers
  • Work collaboratively with product team, developers and project teams
  • Liaise regularly with digital product design manager
  • Write reports and communicate the results of your work
  • Redesign current experience to make it more user friendly
  • Identify possible a/b test iterations as a result of proposed design changes
  • Understand and work within technical constraints of the customer facing tech stack
  • Keep up to date with technological innovations and new tools

Desired Skills

  • Commercial experience as a UX designer
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Experience using prototyping tools, e.g., Figma, Sketch, Invision
  • Ability to contextualize data and communicate clearly to wider business.
  • Innovative thinker with the ability follow up with execution
  • Effective communication skills to liaise with team members to ensure that high quality end-user designs meet customer requirements
